Youth Support Coordinator
Overview: Real Options for City Kids (R.O.C.K.) is an award-winning nonprofit providing hope for children and youth in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley. Visitacion Valley is one of the last family communities in the City that hasn’t been affected by gentrification. R.O.C.K. provides a high degree of positive impact to kids who need it most. Our mission is to nurture the healthy development of children by listening attentively to their needs and providing opportunities to those who might not otherwise have access to a range of positive programs. At R.O.C.K., we serve more than 500 children (ages 6- 17) with a framework that develops strong social and emotional skills, develops strong academic behaviors and broadens horizons. Our programs span the entire year and take place during the school day, after school, on weekends, and throughout the summer. Job Title: Youth Support Coordinator (R.O.C.K. Beacon Visitacion Valley)
Description: The Youth Support Coordinator has overall responsibility for the implementation and creation of R.O.C.K.’s new middle school Academic Program and the High School Academy. The middle school Academic Program includes the management of data collection, homework hour protocols and training of line staff. The Youth Support Coordinator will also manage our High School Academy as well as support our 8th grade Step Up program. This job is a fantastic opportunity for a professional, enthusiastic individual who desires to make a difference in student outcomes. This person will report to the Director of Programs.
